Introducing Pineapple Collective Part 1: Our Story
Welcome to our Story.
Once upon a time….
Just joking, but as every good story should start with a proper beginning we thought we would share with you ours. How this whole crazy thing got started (and no it wasn’t with the hopes of being rescued by Prince Charming, we’ve each got those).
As is not so uncommon in this digital time, two ladies, one from Toronto, the other Vancouver, whose only discourse had been through the likes of social and online platforms, and a shared admiration of each other’s work, got to meet in real-life. No screens attached.
When you click, you click (both online and off). It just took one lunch (and a little wine) to realize our passions about natural health, education, communication, and innovation were very much aligned. As industry veterans, we both saw a huge opportunity in the way that natural health and wellness brands could tell their story, and better convey their message to their consumers, increasing sales, customer loyalty and retention.
What makes us special?
Good question! Not only do we have an insatiable passion for natural health, fitness, and food (we’re both nutritionists), but our respective career paths took us on a remarkably similar journey. We are educators. Both of us have been lucky enough to hold positions as education managers, developing, leading and executing education strategies for two top players in the natural health game. We are creators. Communicating both written and visual content for various publications, as well as our own online channels. We are innovators, working on various product development projects and helping to take some amazing natural products to launch. We not only saw our opportunity, we knew we had what it takes to make it a reality. We knew we could deliver an ‘anything but average approach’, and do things a little differently than they were currently being done.
Why the name ‘Pineapple Collective’?
Pineapples, as well as being that insanely fresh, delicious and anti-inflammatory fruit (health is really our thing!), are also the international symbol for ‘welcome’ and hospitality. We wanted to capture this vibe, welcoming brands into a collaborative space, where we work together to help you better tell your story.
Pineapples (as a little known, but very cool fact) are also not a fruit in the singular, but rather a bunch of berries (truth) that come together to create that majestic tropical fruit. This is where the ‘collective’ piece comes in. We aren’t just one thing. We are marketers, nutritionists, creatives, and innovators. We are all the pieces of your story that come together to make sure it is told in the most lasting and memorable way possible.
